From the judges: This is exceptional work that sets a high bar for in-house creative teams. We appreciated that just as much time, attention, and thought went into the rollout strategy as the visual rebranding itself. Each stakeholder is now an owner of the brand. Identity, design, testing, messaging, and integration were all strong. Other institutions working on rebrands should consult this project as best practice.

About this Entry: Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso recently celebrated 10 years as a university. Part of the the Texas Tech University System and formerly a regional campus for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, the TTUHSC El Paso brand has a rich tradition of notoriety from its system family but has struggled to create a brand recognizable as its own. As a health center we are also connected to the physicians who serve as faculty. The TTUHSC brand is Texas Tech Physicians. In line with their branding we created Texas Tech Physicians of El Paso. With the anniversary of the university and school of medicine, new branding was created and a series of events and trainings were held to educate brand ambassadors through out the campus to present a united brand identity to the community and university system.
