But what we didn’t know, were all of the challenges that our university would face, specifically our students.
That’s why we set up the UTRGV Student Emergency Fund micro-site. With a tagline asking Need Help Staying Afloat? - we wanted our students to know that it was okay to be in need of support. That we were there to help them keep their head above water.
The Student Emergency Fund serves as a temporary monetary solution for students to stay afloat and continue pursuing their long-term academic goals. Specifically for currently-enrolled students facing a sudden financial hardship, the Student Emergency Fund is available to help Vaqueros.
